Assassin's Creed Introduces Bizarre Attack on Titan Collaboration for Holiday Season
In a unexpected partnership that defies traditional expectations, the game developer has unveiled an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Mission Disclosed
According to the formal release, "A mysterious meeting pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where rumors of prohibited rituals and terrifying metamorphoses resonate through the darkness." The storyline features a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with journeying into the Crystal Caveβa significant location from Attack on Titanβto liberate her ally from a secret cult.
The adventure centers on "bizarre experiments and a monstrous foe" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Familiar Places and Metamorphoses
The teaser highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser ends with a dramatic moment showing a character, probably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Bonus Material
Players who finish the quest will receive an unique katana in addition to several items secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
- Titan-inspired outfit for Yasuke
- Mikasa outfit for Naoe

Third Free Story Content
This release also introduces the game's third no-cost story addition, titled "The Mystery."
