Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be shown live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Former twice world heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
However, the novice continues to be one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
